May. 28th, 2005 07:55 pmAbsolutely no coherent thoughts on the episode's plot, I just have to follow the pack and say this about Doctor Who:
"I think Jack wants this dance."
"Oh, I'm sure he does, Rose. Absolutely sure. But who with?" *starrrrres at Jack, end of episode, and while there's no ttile saying 'and then they dun sex', there might as well have been*
This *after* the episode has explicitly used 'dancing' as a codeword for sex. And established that Jack 'dances' with other men. And made canon the fact that the soldier from last week was his boyfriend. And had him relate the tale of getting out of a death sentence by shagging both executioners ("lovely couple, they kept in touch"). Oh, honorary mention to the man Nancy blackmailed with details of his gay love affair.
I'm amazed the Daily Mail isn't screaming from the rooftops about this, what with the whole technically-a-children's-show thing. But I love the BBC so much at this moment.
(Oh, on the ship side - I know the Doctor and Rose never kiss. RTD's said so often enough. But I was completely expecting them to during the first dance in the hospital. And the "you assume I can't... dance" conversation was a bit loaded with UST, eh?)

on 2005-05-28 07:16 pm (UTC)But, oh god...that was great. I love Stephen Moffat so much right now. And I'm not even a shipper.
'Those would have been terrible last words'
Classic. I can see Five saying that.
