Mostly for my own reference and [livejournal.com profile] lasultrix, since she's coming to revel in Doctor Whoness with me at the end of June: I nabbed a list off the BBC site of what's been released on DVD.

One:

Lost in Time
The Dalek Invasion of Earth
The Aztecs

Two

The Seeds of Death
The Tomb of the Cybermen

Three

The Green Death
The Three Doctors
Carnival of Monsters
Spearhead From Space

Four

The Leisure Hive
Pyramids of Mars
The Talons of Weng-Chiang
The Androids of Tara
The Armageddon Factor
The Pirate Planet
The Power of Kroll
The Ribos Operation
The Stones of Blood

The Ark of Space
The Robots of Death

Five

The Visitation
Earthshock
Resurrection of the Daleks
The Caves of Androzani
The Five Doctors

Six

The Two Doctors
Vengeance on Varos

Seven

Ghost Light
Curse of Fenric

Remembrance of the Daleks

Eight

The TV Movie

Of the eight we don't have, seven are on my Blockbuster rental list. Obsession is a beautiful thing. (Why are there not more Seven&Ace episodes on DVD?! I watched Curse of Fenric last night and it's outstanding.)

you've got some very good stories to watch. Remember between Mark, Francis, Chris and the rest of the club, all those DVDs are owned and available for loan (as Chris already said).

In some way the worst story you have to watch is the Two Doctors which has a shit plot, characters, acting, etc. However I have a sneaking suspicion that you may enjoy more than the norm because of a certain relationship in it...

Order of Watching (imho)

Pyramids of Mars - pretty flawless (of a DW story :) )
Robots of Death
Talons of Weng-chiang
Ark in Space - pretty good except for crap monster (note this forms part one of an arc which leads into one of the best DW stories ever - Genesis of the Daleks. There's no overall arc, it's just that the end of each story directly leads into the next - Ark in Space, Sontaran Experiment, Genesis.., and Revenge of the Cybermen)
Vengeance on Varos - interesting story which sets up a plot point in one of my favourite DW novels "State of Change"
Rememberance of the Daleks - cheesy fun
The visitation
The Two Doctors

I've also started buying the videos off Ebay - got The Gunslingers and two other ones I can't remember the names of.

I don't even have a video player. Will have to nick Andrew's.
