Apr. 27th, 2005 07:55 pmI really need to get off the internets and a) finish my application forms, b) write 2000 words about solar neutrinos.
...I have realized I am incapable of using 'internet' in the singular. Curse you, George Bush!
(I am not helped by the fact that I have several ficathons due, a couple of thousand words of a Doctor/Rose story I really want to work on, and a stack of Doctor Who DVDs and Archie comics. My local Forbidden Planet has finally started to stock Archie, which is happy for me but bad for my bank account. I am killed dead by the digest I just finished reading, where poor Jughead sobs to his mother "it was the same nightmare again, Mamma - I was covered in girls! And I liked it!")

on 2005-04-27 08:11 pm (UTC)Haha, I can't do it either. It's even more fun when you say "internets" in front of people like coworkers and classmates who don't get why it's funny.

on 2005-04-27 08:32 pm (UTC)My daughter and I constantly use the term 'internets' now. I'm so glad we're not the only ones who do that.

on 2005-04-28 11:23 pm (UTC)That reminds me. A little while ago there was an article in the Toronto Star about gay cartoon characters. They had all the staples (Peppermint Patty, Marcy, Smithers) and Jughead was one of them.
