(no subject)

Today I have been mostly watching Earthshock. Adric is like Wesley Crusher, only more so.

I take it somebody's already written something along the lines of Nine Companions the Doctor Never Had? Because I really want to rewrite 100,000 BC with Kurt and Brian from Teachers in place of Ian and Barbara.

...crap, I have class at 9. That screws my chances of finishing my Ethan ficathon tonight, then. I could post the first bit, but given my track record, I think I'll leave it, try to get it done tomorrow.

Sadly, I remember sobbing for ages the first time I saw Earthshock. In my defense, I was about thirteen and a bit of an idiot.

By the next time I saw it, it was a couple of years later, and I was much, much saner. And yeah, Adric definitely outdoes Wesley Crusher.

There's a (pro? semi-pro? It's so hard to tell with the novel/cd things) series of what-if things, but I'm sure people would read 9 Companions The Doctor Never Had happily; I know I would. :D

*thinks fondly of Romana n' Dave, which was somebody's absolutely hilarious parody series based on the idea that Romana-2 picked up David Letterman as a companion after separating from the Doctor*

Notice that the Cyber-leutenent has a really high pitched voice, yet the Cyber-leader's voice is really deep.

It's like that in every cybermen story that features after it.
