Apr. 2nd, 2005 08:04 pmChristopher Eccleston, why do you have to break my heart by leaving as The Doctor when I love you so much?
And Jabe, the tree-lady - I was absolutely sure she was Jenny from Teachers, but I didn't see Nina Sosanya's name in the cast. Looked a lot like her. Except a tree.
ETA: looked on imdb. No, it wasn't her. But Navin Chowdry's in episode 4! KURT!
I need to see it again before I get beyond 'squee' sadly.
Ahahaha, they covered all the stuff I was bitching about based on the trailers! (Continental drift, the fact that the earth would be swallowed up by the sun over millions of years). National Trust. Love it.
"You've got me." Yes, that was the part where I died happy. And again at "you're a cheap date." And previously, at the hand-holding and the "wife? Partner? Concubine? Prostitute?"/"you be home by midnight!" And the Doctor sprawling. Whew.
This cements my status forever as a sad little fangirl, but I cried when The Doctor did as Jabe told him she was sorry about Gallifrey, and almost when Rose phoned her mum.
Loved the bobbing-head movement dancing to Tainted Love.
So many funny, clever lines which I should have taken notes about, but I was glued to the screen. I loved the futuristic plumber. (Her/Rose femslash!! There should be!)
Titanic reference - ahhh, Titanic, Rose. I just got that *g*
The Doctor bitching at Rose even as she's about to get fried. "Oh, it would be you." Heee.
I love mydead time-travelling gay shippy show.
And I second
