wisdomeagle has a character poll for Jossverse writers: who you love, who's easiest to write, all sorts of questions that are already giving me giddy squee in anticipation of stats. Beautiful stats!

There's a meme going round about secret fandom shame. Hmm...

1. I started out in fandom a rabid Spuffy shipper. I do mean rabid. Because their love was true and pure OMG. And I *still* read the most OOC schmoopy dreck written about that pairing and eat it up with a spoon because their true and pure love makes my taste go sailing waaaay out the window.
2. A corollary to #1: my first (thankfully not online) Buffy fic was a horrendous post-Gift AU with angsty!redemptionista!Spike and, interestingly enough, the genesis of tropes I would later use to death (I will never get tired of writing post-apoc Los Angeles in ruins. Sorry about that.)
3. Magic Bullet is one of my favourite Angel episodes ever purely for the ten-second scene with Wesley putting the blood on Connor's chest and then touching his face.
4. I have written and posted songfic of the 'character A hears a song on the radio and thinks how it relates to his feelings for character B' variety. I was 14, but this is no excuse.
5. I will skim any post-NFA fic, in any pairing, to see if Nina's in it. If she is, I will read, no matter how awful it is.
6. My Lost OTP is Boone/Locke.
7. I have a half-written Dawn/Illyria/Locke fic on my hard-drive.
ETA 8: After downloading the first Daily Show broadcast after 9-11 I had to google to find out if Jon Stewart has a wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/absolutely anyone so he wasn't going home by himself after that show. Because I am that fangirly and seeing him cry worried me that much.

I'm in no way a Connor/Wes 'shipper but that scene hits me like a hammer.

So much in that. Right after Wes telling Angel he'll kidnap Connor because he's done it before and the gladness on Wesley's face that this time (he thinks), he's bringing Connor back, in a metaphoric way; hurting him, yes, physically and emotionally, but bringing him back.

Love it to bits.

That episode was just Joss's present to me. With a shiny bow around it.

When that episode aired in the States I knew something was up because several people's reviews had something along the lines of "Doyle, you might want to just have an orgasm in advance."

So, what's to be ashamed of? Beside #4, of course. ;)

Well, those aren't TOO sinful! And, #8 is actually wonderfully sweet!

I was 26, and it's still on my website. It was my first BtVS fic. Mind you the song itelf has now been excised, but the plot is still basically "Willow wanders around campus listening to a CD on repeat and thinking about Oz and Tara."

I'd probably have done the same thing, had I seen it. JS brings out my protective instincts. Despite the fact that he's 20 years older than me, and that I've been watching him on TV since I was 12.

Shameful? My version includes an entire sub/dom theme. Complete with Boone crawling on his knees. Now that's shameful.

And by shameful, I'm sure you mean hot.

Boone/Locke is so wrong and yet so obvious and right. And what else does everybody on the island think they're doing in the woods?

I thought the definition of shameful was hot? And yeah, I also wonder what everyone thinks their doing for hours on end. Playing tiddlywinks?
