I've had a sore throat for a couple of days; today I'm feeling flu-y and my dad called to say his secretary's come down with mumps. Apparently it's going around - I never had it as a kid and I haven't been immunised. Ack. Going to go to the doctor tomorrow. If I haven't got it already, maybe they can give me the jab.

Working on my Buffybot romance ficathon piece (so far, too much Kennedy, not enough Bot) and my picfor1000, which seems to be turning into original character Buffyverse fic.

I hope I don't have mumps.

I'm really surprised you haven't been vaccinated, actually. The MMR (measles, mumphs, rubella) booster is a standard US requirement for entry into the seventh grade, not to mention the one they give you as a baby.

There's a poster down at the student's union that mentions that people between 18-23 possibly haven't been vaccinated - I've had my jabs for measles and rubella, I think, but I didn't get the MMR, for some reason.

MMR only went universal about 1985. So theres a bunch of folk kicking round university now that didn't get it as little kids in school and didn't get immunized...and they're getting it.
