Feb. 4th, 2005 09:41 pmMy presentation went... well, it went. It wasn't the best I've ever done, but I got 70%, so I was able to just collapse in relief and sleep for 16 hours.
I'm sure five of those percentage points were for referencing Star Wars, Star Trek and Buffy.
Anyway, now I just have to start panicking about my thesis, but I'm taking tonight off and catching up on Desperate Housewives. Now that she's gotten over her bewilderment at a dead woman narrating, my mum loves the show. We *never* like the same things, but given that she shares Bree's sometimes-manic fetish for perfection, I suppose it was to be expected. (I continue to love Bree. So much. She'd be the world's most efficient assassin or vampire slayer, or both.)
shaddyr's been talking about Writercon 2006 and... I'm giving serious thought to going. I mean, if I'm earning money and can get the time off.
connorbeast has insisted that if it's in Vegas again I'm not allowed to drink, because I'll get hammered and decide it's a swell idea to get married.

I'm in third year of a chemistry degree. *So* not looking forward to thesis year next year. And chemistry geeks are so involved in their own little world I don't think I could even get gratuitous Buffy points because they wouldn't know what it was.
