I have to see the original Batman series. I don't remember it being quite so ridiculous when I was little.

BATMAN: I did think it would all end differently, somehow less ignominiously. To drown in my own anniversary cake!

Some local channel or other showed the series as summer reruns when I was in high school. It was just surreal, but I think it's practically impossible to retain any feel for how insane it is when you're not actively watching an episode. Or something. 'Cause those quotes? Whack!
