And since I bang on about these all the time - planetary nebulae picspam. Though I'm having no luck finding pictures of the three I'm working on, the obscure little bastards.

Oooh.. those pictures are pretty. What exactly is a nebula though? I know it's a thing in space but.. it's like one whole galaxy right? Or is it a bunch of them? Scientific things confuse my brain.

A nebula's basically just a big cloud of gas and dust. A planetary nebula's like a shell of gas around a dead star. They're purty.
