Fic rec

The Queen in Exile - Narnia fic that I've read four times today, and which has made me want to curl up into a little ball and just sob each time.

[livejournal.com profile] marymac mentioned Neil Gaiman's short story The Problem of Susan, similarly about one of the children and what happened to her after the books, and I'll have to try to track it down.

Oh god, I so want to read the Gaiman story now - Susan was always my favorite, until she 'grew up' - and that always both breaks my heart and makes me kind mad.

The Last Battle pissed me off in general, but that always annoyed me about Susan too...

Oh. My. God. So. Good. *is desperate now for more Narnia fic*

I've got all the good narnia fiction I've found bookmarked here (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=sareads&keyword=Narnia&filter=all), give or take a couple recent pieces. But I love that story.

There's some wonderful Narnia fic at Silverlake, under "Chronicles of Narnia".

I love Silverlake. It's like the anti-fanfiction.net.

Wow.

Just wow.

I'd love to read 'The problem of Susan' too. It is in the anthology Flights: Extreme Visions of Fantasy (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0451459776/qid=1101351608/sr=2-1/ref=pd_ka_b_2_1/002-2874608-1308015).
I don't quite want to buy a book for one short story in it but considering it is Narnia slash written by Neil Gaiman I'm not sure why.

Aww. Glad you liked the fic.

Ah, I thought it was by you! Couldn't find the email address on the page to send feedback.

It's such a beautiful, haunting fic.

Oh God. That fic absolutely gave me the shivers, and I can't get it out of my head now. Thanks for the link.
