Okay, I'm trying to copy my mp3s to my ipod, but it'll do 70 or so and then give me some sort of "error copying to disc //// (-69)". Sometimes I can get it to do another batch, but the computers gone to the blue screen of terrifying-like-the-SP2-meltdown a couple of times - error message is Ntfs.sys, page_fault_in_non_paged area. I've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and it hasn't helped. Anybody know Ipods?

Nothing ever works when you're an insomniac...
Are you using USB or Firewire? Copying manually or with iTunes?
I'd suggest clearing the iPod and starting from as basic a set-up as possible, but you've probably already done that...

Important thing is to make sure you have the latest sync software (iTunes?) and that you check if there is a particular file that the Pod is hanging on, and remove it. Failing that, you can always use your spanking new warranty/support cover :)

:whine: I really want to fix it without sending it back to Apple, because my parents will just go all smug about how they told me not to buy if off Ebay and blah blah blah... (never mind it wasbrand new and sealed in the box)

The one time I've had that error was because the particular mp3 it was copying was bad. Try deleting the song (or removing it from the synch list) and see if it continues.

I don't know, maybe it's lots of bad mp3s since it gives me the error every 100 or so - I wish there was a way of telling which ones are going to make it hang, so I could delete them before the computer crashes.
