It's now 3:00am - after a lot of tossing and turning I've given up on sleep, even though I'm propping my eyes open with matchsticks. I'm headachey and my throat's sore and I'm pulling a sicky today. Just got to remember to email my supervisor telling him I'm working from home. (This is why I hope I never have to work a 9-to-5 job, because I'd be shit at it.) But yay for working from my bed while watching The Simpsons DVDs.

Isn't it great to be able to work from home? I never thought about it before, but now that it is an option if need be, I can't imagine not having it. Our plumbing broke one day at work, and I didn't have to worry about pissing anyone off or missing calls. Just shot the boss an email.

Get better soon!

I used to work from home quite a lot, but they've cracked down a bit. Which is ironic, because often it is easier to get things done at home -- fewer distractions, no people stopping by the cubicle, calling, having meetings, forcing you to go to meetings, kibitzing by the watercooler ...

The only distraction at home is cats. :-)
