I bought 4 volumes of the Archie Americana graphic novels on EBay, because Archie's always fun in that 64 slices of American cheese way, and because I had the vague hope for amusing unintentional innuendo.

About 10 pages into 'Archie of the Forties' is a full page cover of Archie bending over to get his ass paddled by four leering jocks. So... yeah.

I got a shock when I read the very first issue in the same 40s book and realised that Archie's the kid on the cover of Mad. Or his twin.

Archie & Alfred E. Neuman! Neat.

I'm always freaked by the fact that Jaime Hernandez learned how to draw for "Love & Rockets" from Archie comics. Freaked, and yet oddly impressed.

Oh man I love Archie comics. They're so comforting. Same story, same outcome, same incredibly dorky jokes, same overuse of exclamation points from comic to comic. *loves* I'm totally a Betty girl, though.

Uh, yeah. What Gloss said. Scans? :::blink:::

Also, if you do have scanning capabilities, I have an odd request. Are there any outside scenes at the high school where The Thinker (you know, the statue) appears? :::is hopeful:::
