I'm heading off on holiday tomorrow and loading up my palmpilot with fics for the journey - anybody got recs for long stories? Any pairing or genre provided it's well written and doesn't have character/ship bashing. Femslash or old school recs particularly appreciated. I'd love you forever for good Angel/Willow, Buffy/Riley, Buffy/Cordelia, Graham/Willow or Buffy/Willow...

ETA: Smallville recs would be welcome too. As would Sparrington.

Hmm, there are some fabulous long fics on allaboutspike.com. Mary's Journeys and Barb C.'s stuff come to mind. Both Spuffy (but good ensemble).

For smallville - did you see Violet's list of recs she put up last week? http://www.no-hero.org/betweenthestars/svrecs.html

THey're alphabetical and not by length but in the last week I've read 'em all and liked 'em. I have to go to a meeting but I will try to be more specific when I get back *tackles you*

And ohh, HOLIDAY!@

Sparrington recs (although some of these are kind of obvious - if you've read these, let me know, and I'll send you some more):

[livejournal.com profile] firesignwriter's "Full Moon" series (the link takes you to her memories - all the parts are listed there, prefaced with "Moonverse").

[livejournal.com profile] the_stowaway's Sparrington Arc.

[livejournal.com profile] isagel's "Carnival".

[livejournal.com profile] viva_gloria's "Breathless", "Breathless, Too", "Complicity", and "Collision"

[livejournal.com profile] hija_paloma and [livejournal.com profile] webcrowmancer's "Best Laid Plans" and "A Plan Well Laid"

[livejournal.com profile] seperis has written several novel/novella-length Smallville fics (http://seperis.illuminatedtext.com/smallvilleindex.html#long). And they are faaaaabulous.

If you're willing to brave the Potterverse, [livejournal.com profile] copperbadge writes long, involved, practically perfect Remus fics. I would reccommend:

Stealing Harry (http://www.skyehawke.com/archive/story.php?no=2288) or Amid My Solitude (http://www.skyehawke.com/archive/story.php?no=639).

For Old School canon recs, have you run across the Giles/Jenny story Warlock (http://vampirecows.com/odd/authors/vatwoman/warlockglz01.html)? Or the Giles/Ethan one called Rayne of Chaos (http://vampirecows.com/odd/authors/jaydn/raynechaosge01.html)? Both are terrific.

And for more generalized post-Chosen stuff, if you haven't read the Virtual Season Eight by the Virtual Lunatics (http://www.virtualunatics.com/index.html) then you really should. It's supposed to be Buffy/Giles, but the real reason to read it is all the Dawn/Ethan subtext which starts around episode six. Since there are eighteen episodes (http://www.virtualunatics.com/episodes/episodes-topTitles.html), each thirty to fifty pages long, this could fill up your Palm Pilot all by itself.

Please excuse the fact that these recs come minus links, i'm in a hurry.

The Way Way Back - Liz Estrada. Wonderful long Faith/Lockley story. As strange pairing go it's right up there, and she makes it work. Plus one of the coolest demons ever.

London Hellmouth - Silvia Volk(I think) Spike and Dru in early nineteenth century London. This was a hugely enjoyable romp from start to finish.

Theurgy - Jintian. Bleak and beautiful Buffy/Faith AU set during S6.

Have a great holiday.
