Okay, just did my first major flist rehaul. I *hope* I only defriended communities and people who don't have me friended back and are thus unlikely to care, but if you think I've wrongly defriended you, let me know. (My info page toys with my emotions by displaying some of the names in ordinary font as opposed to bold. I keep thinking I've defriended [livejournal.com profile] sallyanne or [livejournal.com profile] circe_tigana, and that would never do.)

Lots of names on the list that I don't know. I don't think I've ever done a step-up-to-the-mic post. Here we go, then.

- Name?
- Fandom? (I assume most folks are Jossverse but I'd love to hear your deep, dark fandom secrets. Put another way, I know one of you must have written Teachers slash and I'm determined to find them)
- Where are you from?
- Got any fic kinks I should know about? Favourite characters, pairings, stuff that makes you go 'mmm'? Imaginary prizes to the oddest.
- rec me something. A fic, a movie, a book, a LJ community, anything you like.
- anything else...

- Name? shelley
- Fandom? Primarily Buffy, but I have also written Voyager, Babylon 5, Matrix, and Manchild. I'm currently working on a VR.5, and seem to fall more and more heavily into Harry Potter by the day.
- Where are you from? Chicago
- Got any fic kinks I should know about? Favourite characters, pairings, stuff that makes you go 'mmm'? Imaginary prizes to the oddest. I tend to read for characters. I started Buffy with B/G, but now I'll read or write Giles with anybody. I suppose Giles/Sid would be my weirdest pairing, but I just did that for a challenge. Giles/penguin would be the oddest one that I really believe in. (*theirloveissofishy*) I also have an inexplicable fondness for Dawn/Ethan as developed by the Virtual Lunatics (http://www.virtualunatics.com/index.html).

For HP, I love Remus/Tonks or Remus/Hermione, but sadly there is very little of either of those that are well-written, so I'll pretty much read Remus with anybody.
- rec me something. I recently purchased the complete series of V on DVD, and I can't believe how slashy Donovan is. I'm seriously tempted to write this, but I only know of one other person who even remembers this series... Still, if you ever see it to rent, you should check it out!
- anything else... You are an evil woman for starting [livejournal.com profile] buffyverse1000. That place is SOOOO addictive. And fun! And bad for my liquid brain which apparently has difficulty holding on to longer plot bunnies.

Giles/penguin, hmm.... the bird, I take it, not the subatomic particle? (There really is a penguin particle, named by a physicist for a bet, and giving rise to the best title of any paper ever: "Will a rogue penguin demolish the Standard
Model of particle physics?"

Yep, the sea bird. *grin* It's here (http://vampirecows.com/odd/authors/shelley/loveonrocksglz01.html).

And I did not know about the penguin particle! This makes me happy.
