doyleOkay, just did my first major flist rehaul. I *hope* I only defriended communities and people who don't have me friended back and are thus unlikely to care, but if you think I've wrongly defriended you, let me know. (My info page toys with my emotions by displaying some of the names in ordinary font as opposed to bold. - Fic kinks: Amnesia/identity issues. Enemies-turned-lovers. Time travel. Consent under duress. The Normal Again 'verse. Holden Webster. Psychological perception (Robbie Coltrane in 'Cracker' was the sexiest damn thing evah). Flirting that turns unexpectedly serious. Fics in email or letter format. Odd or underappreciated pairings (Buffyverse1000 is my *crack*). Vengeance demons. The Jasmineverse.
- Rec: The Saga of the Exiles, by Julian May. Best fantasy/sci-fi series I ever read. Also, marmite and cottage cheese on toast. Yummy.

Got any fic kinks I should know about? My favourite character? Buffy. Pairing? Buffy/Spike. Though I love reading the oddest pairings possible. And now trying my hand in writing them. Also love to look at the history with the Jossverse-coloured glasses – and still excited about Tales of the Slayers ficathon I should be writing a story for – right now. But wangst-club has eaten my brains.
Recommend: I am blanking out right now. All the things I am reading right now are rather old (Wilkie Collins, Umberto Eco)

on 2004-08-21 11:56 am (UTC)Fandom: well, I read Jossverse and someday want to write a long AU that branches off in the end of the third season from where Oz says: "We attack the mayor with hummus" because if they had attacked him with germ ladden hummus the show would have turned out much differently. But that probably won't happen soon. I read a variety of other stuff (Farscape, Smallville, Harry Potter, among others) and (while I have many half finished things) have only posted three stories (one Harry Potter, one Hard Core Logo, and one a Crusade/Firefly crossover).

Kinks: this is pretty vanilla, but I like kissing.
Favourite characters, pairings, etc: Willow, Spike, Anya, Oz, Tara, Giles...anyone who is not Buffy basically. And I don't have a favorite pairing, but I'd like to see Clem and Lorne.

Books- G.R.R. Martin's Fevre Dream. I have never been able to recommend this book highly enough. I just don't command the language with decent coherency.
Brett Butler's Kneedeep in Paradise is very good. The woman has a knack for crafting beautiful sentences and should write - really write.
