Jul. 24th, 2004 02:32 pmWhat I did on my summer holidays
Or rather what I did this week, aside from watching videos and spending four solid hours playing Eternal Darkness on the Gamecube. Although one of the videos we watched was The Happiness of the Katakuris, which is a bizarre, wonderful Japanese comedy musical. With zombies. Everybody should see it.
So what else I do... we went to the zoo. I turn into a big child at the zoo, so we had to spend some time with the donkeys in the petting zoo bit. Because... donkeys. We sort of wandered off the path and into this part that was eerily like Jurassic Park. I kept a stealthy eye on the bushes for those little spitting dinosaurs. Didn't see any (maybe they're nocturnal) but we did find lemurs. They must have broken out of their enclosure and started breeding in the woods, because there were loads of them. They're completely unafraid of humans, so if you stand still for a bit they amble over to see if you have anything to eat. They were adorable, and if I wasn't intent on being a meerkat I'd want to be a lemur in my next life. (A meerkat or lemur in a zoo, obviously. In the wild there are predators and the having to catch your own food, and I'm not very fast.)
I think that was mostly my week. Zombies and lemurs. And a barbecue which nobody got poisoned at, thanks to
thecount_ha's mad grilling skills. And now I have a Faith fic to finish. After I get dressed.
