The interesting thing about putting your fic up on sites that have read stats is the sheer number of people who read these things. Of the stories I put up last night I must have had about 600/700 hits total (jeebus!) And 5 reviews, if anyone's wondering, 4 of them for my single Willow/Kennedy fic on kennedyfanfic.com *g*

Hee.

I love Willow/Kennedy. I really need to write more of them because - hot, fun and conventional (so no long setup required)

And W/K fic is a great place to let Kennedy blossom into a likeable character for all those Anti-Kennedy types.

Best example of all time? ObliqueRef's stuff. Kennedy's such a cool bad ass and you can't help but love her.

P.S. I really dug your fic over at kennedyfanfic.com. The rain imagery was way groovy. Plus... tequila... always good. Hee.

I have a couple up over there (under penname "freelance" since "freelance spice" didn't fit) and I just started some new fic (http://www.livejournal.com/users/freelancespice/2127.html) that's kind of a back story of a W/K RP I've been doing.

I'm annoyed by fics that bash Kennedy or W/K for no good reason - especially when it's not a Willow fic and it takes time away from the main character or pairing to say "and then Kennedy was a bitch and Willow hit her and said she'd never ever talk to her again, ha!" Ran into a couple of those today. I was irked.

Are there ones really that bad? Somehow I've missed them. Huh.

I'm also saddened by these: "so really anyway kennyed wuz a slyer and her grilfrend was nemed Williow an dhtey foughte the evils and then had alls tehsex ina lesbain way"

That's the downside of fic. Anyone can write it and archive it somewhere.

Bwah! Yeah, that's a problem.

There's a Kennedy fic archive? Oooh, I have Kennedy fic, weird W/K and Sufi poetry fic(no, really) I must go and post there. Their relationship has really grown on me to a surprising degree considering how much I disliked Kennedy when she first appeared. I think the turning point was her admission that she's kind of a brat - loved her from then on, including retrospectively, and felt slightly guilty about the previous dislike *g*

I really enjoyed your W/K, definitely hot and fun, so please do write more.

BTW. Will Freaks Guide to Rome ever be continued? The suspense is killing me...

I get this, too. I can have as many as 200 hits on a story over at AFF and have no one even bother to put up stars for it. Grrrrr!

Of course, since AFF is down. Again. Still. . .

That's crazy. How hard is it to send a note saying, "hey, i read your fic and it rocked." Not the most in debt response ever, but still a response. Just makes me feel even more guiltier for not sending feedback on few stories or possible more proud of myself because I have given feedback for probably 80% of what I've read.

Unfortunately, that feedback ratio is very common for a lot of, or most authors.

We've been checking our web stats since [livejournal.com profile] bunnyohare posted her last story, and the ratio was several hundred views to 2 comments. People are lazy, and don't generally comment, or don't have time. Sadly.

I was thinking about writing a Willow/Kennedy drabble for [livejournal.com profile] open_on_sunday and then I was like, dude, nobody likes Willow/Kennedy. Then I saw this and I was like, well, Doyle does, so maybe there's hope for it yet...

Hey, umm, I was wondering if you could grant me access to post my fic at "The Hyperion Lobby" 'cause I really can't find anywhere else to post it.

Preety please??

::smothers you in hugs and candy just in case you're gonna say no::

*g* Well, we don't actually post fics there, just the links, but I'll be happy to link to it if you put it up in your own journal. What's the pairing? I might know a site or community for it.

::headdesk::

Why don't I ever read the fine print??

Anyways, I really had no idea that it was a comm for linking fic and not actually posting them. I was just glad that I'd actually found somewhere that I could post it w/out thinking whether or not it was sick or slashy enough.

And yes, I've posted it at my LJ and was floundering on where else to post it 'cause it didn't really fall into many categories. The pairings Wes/Fred and not a bit slashy.

Thanx for your reply, btw.

::hugs::

::another headdesk moment::

Since you linked the fic to the one at mmm_smut, does that kinda sorta mean that I can't delete the one there?

If it does, then oh well, I guess I'll let it stay and endure the evil eye ppl shoot my way.

::shakes head::
