Entertain me while I tackle inability to make words come out right and try to get some of these ficathon entries done... You could tell me what strange pairings you're into, since I've been thinking lots about unconventional shipping today. Or anything. Go on.

Also contemplating a game of tag where the first person writes a drabble - 100 words or less - with a pairing and a word or requirement at the end, and the next person writes that one. Might try to instigate a game of that later tonight if the ficathoning goes badly.

They didn’t understand, but it was important to write on the walls. They didn’t have to work out the world here, carefully and scientifically with lots of room for rough work, because they didn’t see how the world of a person was strung together with little bits of information like how close is the nearest taco store, in distance and in time according to LA traffic? Which team member is least likely to survive an encounter with which demon? What chemical reactions are involved in the lengthening of Angel’s teeth, and does it hurt?

Fred gets tired, working it all out for herself. She needs Angel to lead her away from the walls. Angel thinks he’s trying to lead her away, but he isn’t, he doesn’t know how. Fred knows that if Angel were to kiss her, she could rest her aching brain. Because he would protect her, and save her, and have her close by all the time, and it would all flow from the kiss like the rush of the tides, or like a story hurrying to its conclusion, and the defender of her world wouldn’t be just her, Fred alone with her starved body and her pen.

Daddy has always been good to her, at least when it came to money. She had all the major platinum credit cards, and when the bill came she didn’t have to pay for a cent.

There were things Daddy couldn’t give to her however, and she couldn’t seem to push them out of her mind. She wanted a safe life where she didn’t have to hide. She wanted a job of her own so she could pave her own life. She wanted a father who wouldn’t try to sacrifice his daughter. It didn’t seem likely she would get those though.
