Give me 1000 comments in this entry. Or whatever, really. YOU, in particular, don't have to supply the whole 1000, but a tiny contribution would be nice. Then let me know if you post this in your journal and I'll return the favor.
Dudes, so this is your chance to spam me with anything! Pictures, lyrics, the word SPAM over and over. Feel free to tell me something about yourself, or screen your comments. Do whatever you want! It's all up to you.
Okay, so I realise 1000 is a tall number so just spam away and we'll see where we get up to. Please entertain me!
Entertain me while I tackle inability to make words come out right and try to get some of these ficathon entries done... You could tell me what strange pairings you're into, since I've been thinking lots about unconventional shipping today. Or anything. Go on.
Also contemplating a game of tag where the first person writes a drabble - 100 words or less - with a pairing and a word or requirement at the end, and the next person writes that one. Might try to instigate a game of that later tonight if the ficathoning goes badly.
ETA: Okay, the drabble tag's here, come and play.

Re: Poker, anyone?
on 2004-06-20 12:30 pm (UTC)Pair
Two Pairs
Three of a kind
Straight (all numerical order)
Flush (all same suit)
Full House(a pair and a three of a kind)
Four of a kind
Straight Flush (all same suit *and* in numerical order).
So if Spike had five Spades (a Flush) and Buffy had two Kings and three Fours (a Full House) she would win.
There are loads of different ways to actually play, but I think the most common is to deal five cards all face down, the players then bet on what they've got. They can then exchange a pre-arranged number of cards and get dealt new ones. So say if you had two Aces and nothing else, you might put back the other three in the hope that you'll get something that goes better with the Aces.
Actual betting has always seemed insanely complicated to me and I haven't a clue how it's done properly. But I'm sure Spike would choose Strip Poker anyway :-)

on 2004-06-20 01:05 pm (UTC)Do you have any other idea what those two could do? I decided to add another chapter to the Friday fic, because after re-reading the ending felt a little aprupt... Also, they didn't even kiss yet!
What do you think? Any idea?

on 2004-06-20 01:20 pm (UTC)They could also play The Game Of Life, since it's canon that they own that - have to rewatch OaFA now :-)
Btw, did you get around to read the last part of Friday yet? Do you think the general outline is okay, or should there be major changes - would be stupid to finish it, when I'm changing the rest :-) (Fun, I wanted to apologize about spamming Doyle's LJ with OT - but, hey, kinda the point here!)
