All the Riley groups I can find are silent, with just the occasional tumbleweed drifting across my screen. This makes me sad. I'm in a Riley mood.

Also, there should be more fic about Eve. Yeah, I mostly hated her too, right up until her line about being a child of the senior partners. Which made me go "what?! Is she even human? How old is she? If she's some kind of construct, how did the Partners make her? And how'd she meet Lindsey, and what does it mean to her to give up immortality, and..." bunnies, bunnies, bunnies.

To make this post completely pointless, last night I dreamed I was reading a novelization of the second Starsky and Hutch movie (should there ever be one). All I remember is an ice-rink and a hell of a lot of homoeroticism, and that [livejournal.com profile] marymac kept being mean to me when I tried to show her the slashy bits.

Re: Eve. I actually found her to be well-played and intriguing. I, unlike the majority, never disliked her. I just finished watching "Not Fade Away" again, and my heart absolutely breaks for her when she says "Go where?" Maybe I'm too easy, but I'd love to see more fic about her. I don't think I'd be able to write it myself, though -- I'll stick to Buffy.

I disliked her at first when she seemed to be a poor copy of Lilah, but once she gave up her immortality for Lindsey I started to get really interested in her. Assuming she got out of Wolfram & Hart, she's now adrift with absolutely no-one, and I just talked myself into a whole warren of plot bunnies *g*

I actually never got the not!Lilah vibe from her. I think it was because the actresses are vastly different. As for plot bunnies? I'm the one who wants to write post-NFA Eve in Italy fic where she meets Buffy and they have [completely platonic] interaction of some kind. Yes, I'm a wee bit crazy. I'll admit that. ::g::

Eve would so try to latch onto The Immortal.

Ooh, good point! "Hey, I gave up immortality for my lover but now he's dead so make me immortal again!" Bwahahaha.

You have the best dreams. ::is jealous you got to read about a sequel to Starsky & Hutch::

Also, there should be more fic about Eve.

I really thought I'd be over this, now that the show has ended, but -- I still double-taked at that sentence.

More fic about me? Huh?

;)

Yeah, try being called Doyle *g*

[identity profile] evemac.livejournal.com 2004-07-01 06:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, but the difference is...people don't clamor for Doyle's death! :P

That's the exact same reason I added an 'i' to my name -- people would talk about Lana from Smallville, and I would be like 'hu'? ::g::

[identity profile] doyle_sb4.livejournal.com 2004-06-14 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
Heh. That must have been odd, especially since most of the fandom reaction to Lana seems to be 'die, bitch, die! stabstabstab'

Oh! So I *wasn't* going crazy! I could have sworn that you, once upon a time, spelled your name like the Smallville character. Hee. I would have changed my name too! *g*
