Has anybody else seen the E4 Smallville adverts? Reassure me that I'm not seeing them through HoYay tinted contact lenses - I mean, the bright purple background, the big "Clark has a secret" title immediately followed by Lex asking "What's your secret, Clark?" (while giving a Gayest Look of some Episode). Then the clip of Clark in bed, teleporting-girl's hand coming up his arm, except it's edited as well as I've seen in any music vid so that we don't see who the hand belongs to. And Jonathan Kent walks in and looks horrified.

Then they show it's a girl after all and ruin my fun. Dammit. (I should be looking out for the Sky One Angel adverts. The Angel/Connor Tainted Love music vid was classic. And I still have a soft spot for the TV3 'even heroes fall in love' season 6 adverts because their marketing department clearly went "screw anything else that's happening in the episode, Spuffy Spuffy Spuffy!")

While the Sky One adverts are often genius, they are also EVIL. Evil I tell you.

I wasn't watching Buffy at the time but I have friends who are still angry at the promo for The Gift. It was basically "Buffy dies!"
