Me, an hour ago: PutonE4rightawayhavetowatchthesecondepisodeofDesperateHousewives!
Dad: Mm?
Me: E4! Desperate Housewives!
Dad: Ahh, I see the confusion here: you see, we have these things called 'television schedules'. Now, you've just finished watching Desperate Housewives on Channel 4, so it'll be on again *next* Wednesday at 10.
Me: [Cartman] Daaaad! I have to watch it nooooow!
Mum: Oh, let her watch her program.
Me: Huzzah!
Mum: I didn't understand that Dangerous Wives at all. The lady's dead, how can she be telling the story?

I wish AIM wasn't being a bastard so I could squee with people. As it is, I'm going offline now so I don't get tempted to read spoilers (this is one of the few shows where I went in knowing absolutely nothing but "[livejournal.com profile] jennyo loves it, there's a character called Bree, [livejournal.com profile] connorbeast says the narrator's a dead woman and the trailer kicks ass". It was nice to watch something and be surprised.)

As it typical, since I'm supposed to be doing nothing but writing my thesis this week, all I want to do it write fanfic. I'm halfway through late secret Santa fics for various people and have 3000 words of my gay marriage ficathon which is *so damn fluffy argh* and the thing I'm having the best time writing is my assignment for Doyleathon II, because the person requested slash, AU and crossover fic. "Crossover with what?" I wondered. "Buffy? Any fandom? Like, actually anything? Six Feet Under, Good Omens, Archie, The Lucy Show, anything?" So I'm 2500 words into that and it's not slashy enough but it's so much fun to write.

Speaking of Archie, [livejournal.com profile] faithgirl222 sent me comics, which makes me do the dance of giddy joy. I got a magnificent bounty of cards over Christmas, actually, all of which are being kept to reply to, and I will do a thank you post. I promise. Somebody poke me to remind me.

I just checked [livejournal.com profile] 3_ships and some wonderful person wrote me Angel/Spike/Nina, and it's perfect. It's called Three People Who Like To Watch and now that I know what \o/ means I can abuse it to better illustrate my sheer happiness. \o/

Nina wasn't expecting to find her sometime-boyfriend being fucked by his annoying friend. But then, such was life. So. Much. Love.

My last spam of the night, I promise, but I just backed up my journal and I'm engrossed in playing with different plugins.

[livejournal.com profile] lasultrix has commented here more times than anyone. If you were wondering. The ten words I use the most often, leaving out "and", "the", "so" etc, in order of highest use...

angel, spike, buffy, xander, giles, willow, connor, wesley, ficathon, cordelia

Um. Wow. It's not at all obvious what my One True Fandom is.

I'm very upset that I've only used the word Nina 92 times - the same number that I've used the word 'hate'. Now, that can't be right, because I love Nina. In fact, I think that of all the Ninas on TV, the Nina from Angel is my favourite Nina.

Don't click here, it's just me typing 'Nina' to drive the count up )

I also refuse to believe that I've only made one use of the words peepshow, haberdashery, schmifferent and pentaquarks.
