A little bit late, this is for the A/B/C ficathon, surely the most specific ficathon of them all *g* This is giving me a horrendous case of the plot bunnies.

Title: The Secret Life of Us
Author: Doyle
Pairing: Buffy/Angel/Cordelia
Rating: PG-13
Notes: For [livejournal.com profile] writinggoddess, request was angsty fluff, an attraction to another person causing problems.
More notes: Set in early season 2 AtS, but completely and utterly AU. Basically a PWP. Only it doesn't have plot, but it doesn't actually have sex either. Er… :tries to think of some redeeming feature:

I watched a couple of episodes of The Sark and Lauren Spy Hour Alias with [livejournal.com profile] connorbeast and was wondering about the Lauren hate I've stumbled across in various places: why do people seem to hate her? She's fabulous! Admittedly this is based on very few episodes...

CB and I agreed that Sark is probably going to end up working for the CIA as the snarky reluctant ally, and Syd and Vaughn will say something dumb and he'll be like "this is the team that foiled my every move? I am deeply shamed" (TM Spike) and in the series finale Syd will emotionally confess her love as he's about to set off the bomb that will take out the Covenant, and he'll say "no you don't, but thanks for saying it." And she'll run out. And Sark will say "hey, Vaughn, mind this nice shiny ticking countdown machine for a minute" and run off to have a wild threesome with Syd and Lauren.

To completely change the subject, a gorgeous, twisted poem:
Poetry spam. Christina, by Louis Macneice )

(ETA: that poem's been in my head all day, and I've just worked out it's because I've been thinking about Warren. Christina/Katrina... *is a poetry geek*)

Found in my lecturer's particle physics notes, apropos of nothing, really:

"The charm quark wards off evil."

Well, I did wonder what it did.

Title: Gepetto in the House
Author: Doyle
Pairing: Angel/Spike
Rating: PG-13
Notes: Backup fic for the Puppet!Angel ficathon. [livejournal.com profile] itsabigrock wanted the line "Haven't had to put this many stitches in you since Bucharest" and no violation of Angel's puppet-hole. I loved that last phrase so much I stole it.

"Shut up, Spike."

Spike raised his eyebrows in a parody of innocence. One hand hovered midair for a moment, as if he was wondering whether pressing it to his heart would be just too much of the drama queen, then it dropped back to the couch. It landed just a bit too close to Angel's leg for his liking and he glared, shuffling away. Spike's hands hadn't looked quite so big before. His whole body hadn't looked so big as it did right now, and Angel had had Spike kneeling on the floor in front of him plenty of times.

Redrafting the first half of Angel Book of Days fic (which is so late, sorry [livejournal.com profile] stakebait). Hmm. It looks an awful lot shorter but word count tells me there's actually only 50 words difference. I think it's just faster paced. (My whole writing process in this is just to stop Lindsey and Lilah from snarking at each other too much. Because, yes, it's lots of fun, but the Beast is after you! You can't spend four pages in Lindsey's apartment being snarky! Bitch while you run, bitch while you run.)

Gah, I'm so bad with thingummies tonight. Those things that sound the same but are spelled differently. Homonyms? I dropped English after GCSE so I have no idea of names of stuff. I mixed up two/too above and had to fix it and rereading my Puppet!Angel fic I had "the needle went threw the coat". Yeargh! My brain needs fixing.

Ooh, [livejournal.com profile] eloise_bright wrote a Book of Days fic for me and it's hilarious and wonderful. Read it (ETA: Eloise and I have just discovered we share a hometown. The people you meet in Angel fandom...)
