Saint of Lost Causes - Connor/Wesley, mild R, early season 4

It takes his team mere hours to find the boy. He's sleeping rough, and Wesley keeps his distance. Stays downwind. Tails him, for a few nights, and feels almost a Watcher again.

When they're finally introduced, Connor - Stephen? - is wary and hostile, at first. Wes is patient.

He knows, now, that redemption is only for Slayers and souled vampires, and he will always be the traitor. He saw it in their faces when he brought Angel back.

And that's all right.

Because in the warmth of the eager, angry body against his own, he has his thirty pieces of silver.

I've noticed that quite a few of my drabbles contain religious imagery or marijuana. Hmm, maybe I should combine the two.
