Angel or Riley bashing in Spuffy fics? Spike bashing in B/A or B/X fics? Got nothing on the amount of Oz-bashing I'm seeing in some of the old school Willow/Xander fics I'm trawling through. It's hilarious in all its villainous moustache-twirling badness.

Speaking of old school...

sathinks is running the Old Skool Ficathon. Season 1-3 of either Buffy or Angel. I've been dying for somebody to do another one of these, so I'm happy happy happy.

(Yes, I can fit another one in and study. I just need to abandon sleep! I can just drink coffee instead!)

I've heard of people bashing Oz, but I can't wrap my brain around it at all. I mean, he's so - *Oz.* It's like hating a hungry kitten.

Damn, I've lost it now. Oz was TEH EVAL!!!! though, basically a psycho who existed only to thwart Xander and Willow's true love. He got killed off in time for the happy ending.

You have to find the link. My mind just can't wrap around evil Oz or Oz bashing without proof.

From my experiences with shipper fic, I have only come across one ship that didn't bash the previous love interest: ain't no Spander that I've read has beat on Anya. It might exist but all that I've read has treated her quite well.

Oh God, I remember the Oz bashing. OMG Willow/Xander 4-eva!

(of course, the worst of it is in the bad Willow/Angel stories, in which Buffy is a queen bitch who skanks around, Xander is too obsessed with Cordelia, Oz is a drunk/abuser/shallow/annoying and Angel's the only one who understands her paaaaaiiinnnn!

Oh, W/A fic. I keep looking because I know somebody must have written that wonderful, in-character, fair to Buffy and Oz and the rest Willow/Angel I want to read, but so far... nope. I love the blatant Willow Sues in bad W/A.
