Last night's Will and Grace
Mar. 14th, 2003 11:26 amI love TV3 (an irish TV channel), for two very good reasons:
1) Their ad for season 6 Buffy is very pretty. All Spuffy, with a song that has to be Joss's theme tune (Buffy and Spike kissing, Buffy rejecting him, the line about "I will never kiss you ever, ever again!" as the song plays "you can't always get what you want... but if you try real hard..." The kiss from the end of Tabula Rasa - "you get what you need.") Sadly it's ruined my zen-like she's-going-to-end-up-with-Angel-and-I'm-okay-with-that state. Don't worry, I'll get it back.
connorbeast's zen Connor's-a-dead-boy-walking-and-I'm-okay-with-that attitude will inspire me.
2) They show a double bill of Will and Grace every Thursday, which seems to be the only way you can see anything past season 1 in this country. And Matt Damon was in last night's episode playing a character called Owen. And he talked about the boyfriend he's been dating since high school - inevitably called Ben. Okay. Owen was only pretending to be gay, but the Ben line made me squee. Connorbeast and I definitely didn't spend the rest of the night talking about how hot a couple Ben and Matt would make, because that would be wrong. And it's complete coincidence that we watched Dogma and Ben doing the "I want to be more than friends" speech in Chasing Amy. I love that movie. I rented it several billion times when I was about 12 or 13, just to see Ben Affleck kiss Jason Lee.
So, not a bad night, until certain housemates returned at four in the morning and woke me up, damn them. Nobody needs to be singing an Avril Lavigne/Justin Timberlake medley at that time, at that volume.
