So, a quick update on what I've been doing all week since my sucky exam... well, first I got drunk. This made playing the pub quiz machines difficult. I lost credibility for not being able to remember if the microscope was invented before the space shuttle, but instantly became a quiz god when the machine gifted me with the question "Who plays the title character in the TV series Angel?"

As for the rest of my time, we watched quite a lot of Buffy. Specifically the bits of Buffy between The Freshman and Into the Woods. If those episodes happened to have Riley in them and connorbeast and I happened to hit the pause button whenever he had his shirt off, well, that was an unusual coincidence.

We still couldn't convert marymac to the Riley love, but I'm taking her deeply grudging "okay, that was pretty funny" at the "I'm plotting your death" line in Real Me to be victory. Victory! I also tried to suck in Mary's kid sister, Ruth, who loves Oz but hasn't seen much Buffy past season 3. We watched New Moon Rising. She squeed when Riley said "I'm an anarchist". I'm so proud.

Stuff I learned from the episodes we watched:
- Xander once worked on a phone sex line. (The Yoko Factor) Where's the fanfic, huh? I need that fanfic!
- seems like it would have been a lot easier for Riley to pay Spike to, er, suck him off.
- Giles so went to vampire ho's in his Ripper days.
- Xander loves Riley. He loooves him. He wants to have sex with him, and not just so he can see round the Initiative
- Spike and Angel both call Riley 'boy'. Need. Fic.
- Riley's funneh. And has a lovely smile. I may have to make a mood theme.
- Our commentary for the beginning of most episodes went much like this:

Me and Connorbeast: Graham!!
(other names)
Me: I don't know why we're expected to care about these other non-Graham guys.
CB: They're not Graham.
Me: Ooh, the Mayor. He's cool.
CB: But not Graham.
Me: Nobody's Graham.
We like Forrest too. But not as much as Graham.
- Spike looks damn good in an army uniform.
- Spike is a grade-A bitch. And I love him dearly for it.
- So... any Spike/Adam out there? I mean, come on, besides the 'predator' speech in Yoko Factor, their 'ship name would be Spam!
- Anya rules my world.
- Into the Woods made me cry, something I would have not believed a year ago. CB understandably mocked my pathetic "if I wish really really hard will she catch the helicopter?" Damn As You Were, you giant roadblock to my post-Chosen Buffy/Rileyness, you.

Spam. That's the funniest ship name. EVER.

But I *like* AYW. And Riley/Sam. And if you can't write post-"Chosen" B/R, write the next best thing -- Dawn/Riley. ;) Or put him with the *other* sister, and by that I mean Faith.

Dawn/Faith/Riley is totally my new OT3. All the way, baby.
