My mum went to the doctor's today for a checkup. She didn't say anything when she came back, so I went lalala merrily on my way until my dad came home at teatime...

Me: How was work?
Dad: Alright. Oh, your mum's pregnant.
Me: What?!
Dad: (fake innocence) Tsk, what am I saying, not pregnant, the other thing. She has high blood pressure.
Me: ...
Dad: Which can be a sign of pregnancy.
Me: I hate you.
(Mum mutters something about a star in the East)
Me: ShutupshutupIdon'twanttoknow!

Yes, my parents make me regress back to ten.

My mum's 55! I'd definitely be floored if she was having a baby (and then I'd be immature and sulk, because *I'm* the baby of the family, I don't want an interloper coming in at the last minute)
