anniesj probed me. With her questions. First person to comment with a request to be interviewed, I'll ask them five questions, then they answer in their own journal and make the same offer. Savvy?
1. If you were allowed to give an award to one film, one album, and one television show, which masterful pieces of art would you recognize?
Film: Fight Club. God, I love me some Fight Club. The script, the direction, the acting, the editing, everything about that film is perfect. I think I could quote it line by line.
Album: I actually tend to listen to my own mix CDs, so I don't own very many full mix albums. That said, I'd give the award to anything by Eve6, because I love their music and they need the exposure.
TV Show: Queer as Folk UK. Still my One True Fandom, even though I haven't written anything for it since I, err, grew up and my fanfic stopped sucking quite so bad. It, it has Vince! And Stuart! (And Stuart and Vince's onetrueloveofalltime) And Nathan, who I eventually grew to appreciate. Plus some of the sharpest writing I've ever seen. And it surprisingly has very little sex in it. Which, even more surprisingly, is okay.
2. What is the one awful, embarrassing movie that has made you cry?
Pocahontas.
No, really.
No, really. It's cheesy and completely awful, but when I was about 14 I watched it so many times.
(Incidentally, Pocahontas 2 is the worst movie of all time.)
3. If you were only allowed to eat the same meal for the rest of your life, which meal would you choose?
Hmm... got to be steak pie, made with the big chunks of steak and puff-pastry. And chips (actual chips, not crisps. Gah, not even sure of the Americanism for this because to me fries are the little skinny ships, not the nice fat ones...) Ooh, and Yorkshire pudding and potato bread, because I love them.
It's a slightly unconventional meal.
And I want pepperoni pizza for dessert. And Ben and Jerry's (Phish Food)
4. It's late. You're in an alleyway. There's a sexy man in the shadows about to give you illicit booty. Who is he?
Hmm. I'll have to go for Alexis Denisof in stubbly-Wes mode. But Jack Davenport is a serious contender.
5. What color are your underwear?
Black, but you really should check for yourself, just to be sure I'm not lying...
