circe_tigana has had another of her marvellous ideas. People tag each other in this post and then read one another's friends list for the day. I was the first to answer, so I've been reading Circe's friends list.

Things I Have Learned, Or It's Not Stalking If Circe Tells You To

- buffyx, to my surprise, is still in high school. Her writing is amazing. Damn, that's depressing. Her school library doesn't have Lolita (I think mine's did, surprisingly) so I tried hunting down an online version, but sadly no luck.

- Now I want to read Lolita.

- Ooh, a UK magazine wants horror stories...

- Ninja movies are damn cool.

- There's a Norrington fanfic community! :hugs _norrington

- And a polyfic community, for when 2 people in a relationship just aren't enough.

- Some sick, perverse person posted her fictional kinks and... oh, that was me.

- Circe's friends know where to get all the best crack Sparrington.

"Woe is me!" I thought, "for while Jack/Elizabeth is truly magnificent, I cannot slash PoTC because Will bores me to tears I can't see Jack/Will!"

As someone told buffyx, try to get Appel's Annotated Lolita - he was a student of Nabokov's in the 1950s and knows the book inside and out. Plus, illustrations! (Including one I referred to in Daniel...)

It's my favorite book; I've read it probably 25 times. I wish I could make everyone read it.
