1943: Angel's living in New York City. He doesn't give a damn about the war - knows next to nothing about it - but the Initiative burst into his apartment and force him at crossbow-point to come with them. Wacky submarine hijinks ensue.

That jibes better with Are You Now...

I also went "aww" at the part in the sides where recently-escaped Spike assumes Angel is a captive like him and says "if I'd known you were there I'd've come and got you out" or similar.

That makes a smidge more sense. It's not great but it's enough to shut me up and get me to better enjoy an entire ep about Angel and semen.

Aha! I'm glad Angel's history wasn't bastardized too much. After "The House Always Wins" I get worried.
