Thanks to everybody who wished me happy birthday yesterday :hugs:

Birthday party was fun. I had cake. And presents! Lots of nice prezzies from housemates. Which reminds me:

I'm fairly sure someone on my friends list must read manga (I hope I'm using that word correctly, clueless as I am). connorbeast bought me volume 4 of Fake and I must. Have. The rest. If I'm denied pretty pretty HoYay I may well hulk out and smash things. So... are there any more comics like that, by any chance? Something in a similar homoerotic vein? Because I think I just found a fun new obsession.

Ooh, and glossing wrote me a Dawn/Tara fic that's so gorgeous it's to die for: read it here.

As for the manga stuff - you should check out Yami no Matsuei, or Descendants of Darkness in English. It's shounen-ai, the fun boylove genre. "Yaoi" generally tends to refer to stuff I find unpalatable - all about the "only one guy can top ever and the other is the girl of the relationship" and rape is a frequent plot device, in my experience. But anyway, I don't know if the manga of YnM is out in English yet, but the anime is and it's really very good.

Hmm. Also uber-slashy are Berserk (Guts and Griffith have kind of a Clark/Lex enemies but not really kind of thing going on) and Sorcerer Hunters, though that last one has a lot more girl T&A than slash. And the only two important female characters are sisters, so the femslash is a bust. Curses!

And there's probably more, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head. :)
