Nitpicking 'Chosen'

...I can't quite believe I didn't realise this till someone on a mailing list pointed it out. Problem with the big crater in the ground at the end of Chosen? Sunnydale's coastal. We saw the docks in Surprise and the Beach in Buffy vs Dracula. Where'd the sea go?

no necissarily costal, there are a lot of cities that have ships and harbours that are miles and miles away form the coast. yes there should have been a river or something, but not necissarily a coast line for an ocean or lake.
having said that the most traumatizing thing about the crator, well lets just say i got to see my house fall into it. it still creeps me out to see sunnydale and surrounding areas fall into a big hole.

I noticed that too, and it bugged me, but I had so many other problems with "Chosen" it was sort of cancelled out. [/bah humbug]

I read that a few weeks ago and groaned.

When I re-watched it, I tried to wank that fact by saying "Oh, that bit right of the crater isn't actually on-screen. There could be a dock there." ;)

For as rarely as we actually saw them at the beach, I always figured it was several miles away, and that they had a bit of drive to get there. As for the docks we saw, they looked more like river docks to me, but I could be wrong. But it's wankable.

Yeah, that occurred to me too, when I watched 'Chosen the second time.

Well, there was neither the harbour/the docks, nor the beach from 'Go Fish' or 'Dracula.' There was no airport either. And what happened to the river Spike dropped Katrina's body in?

As far as I know Sunnydale is based on/located at Santa Barbara.

My explanation? ME couldn't be bothered. Continuity is for wusses. Yadda yadda.
