Angel Book of Days

Ten seconds after casually checking the deadline for the Book of Days challenge...

Meep! I thought it was the 22nd, not the 2nd! Okay, no problem, got my outline, have read up on my canon background, just need to get the character voices. To the DVDs I go...

My main BoD-related panic is the fact that I'm having trouble coming up with a plot that'll stretch to 3000 words without breaking one of the requirements.

Because it just wouldn't be a challenge if there wasn't one requirement which didn't have me banging my head repeatedly against the keyboard out of sheer frustration.

That was my problem too, because my plot was dangerously close to breaking the "no fluff" requirement. Then at 4am this morning I had a blinding flash of inspiration on how to use exactly the same plot with a slight non-fluffy twist :)

Mine has a "nothing higher than R-rated" requirement, which would probably be okay if it were any other character. So, I'm still waiting for my blinding flash of inspiration. Even a brief flicker would be good right now.

Outlines? Man - maybe if I wrote an outline for my fic I wouldn't have scrapped so much of it and would have had a better understanding of what I was doing.

I took one of my requirements and twisted it...a lot. I'm very glad that I did though.
