Dammit, writing Spike's voice is hard.

Hee. Different tastes. I'm finding writing a believable Connor-voice next to impossible myself ;-)

Hm. Actually I always thought the thing about writing voices is using key words characters would say and then it's completely up to the reader if he has Spike's voice in his head or not. When I started reading Due South slash for example, I thought the stories were 'blah'. I had never seen an episode before. After I had seen some episodes and then read slash again, my whole perception of the fic changed because now I could hear the characters' voices in my head and imagine their body movements, etc.

Tell me about it. It's so hard not to revert to the "Oi, Slayer. Come give us a shag, love." -type of dialog. The little voice in my head would always say, "The *show* does it. Why can't you?"
