I read a lot more poetry and fanfic than I do novels, but I'll have a bash at these anyhoo...

First Real Book I Ever Read:
The Twits, by Roald Dahl.

Best Loved Children’s Book:
The Narnia Chronicles, till I was old enough to work out what they meant. Then I felt so cheated.

Best Loved Children’s Author:
Roald Dahl, and as a child Enid Blyton (her books seem to quaint and dated now)

The First Book To Change Your Life:
Two Weeks With the Queen by Morris Gleitzman, which I first read when I was 9: alerted me to both the existence of gay people and the fact that yes, children can get sick and die.

Most Overrated Book:
Oh god, I'm going to get crucified on both of these - Pride and Prejudice and (ducks) The Lord of the Rings. Just couldn't get into it, I'm not much for fantasy. Loved the films, though.

Most Underrated Book:
Watchmen by Alan Moore. One of my favourite books ever, but vastly underrated as it's a graphic novel.

Another Underrated Book:
The Sandman collection. See above.

Best Loved Novels:
Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk
the Harry Potter series
Pratchett's Discworld series
Good Omens (Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman)
Hitch-hiker's Guide
to my own surprise, I loved Wuthering Heights (despite the fact that Heathcliff and Catherine pissed me off immensely)
American Gods by Neil Gaiman (have a guess who my favourite writer is...)

Best Loved Short Story collection:
Smoke and Mirrors by Neil Gaiman.

Best Loved Science Fiction Authors:
Isaac Asimov
Douglas Adams

Best Loved Horror Authors:
Used to be Stephen King, back when I read a lot of horror.

Best Loved Fantasy Authors:
Neil Gaiman
Diana Wynne Jones
Terry Pratchett

Best Loved Comic writer:
Neil Gaiman, Alan Moore and Kevin Smith.

Best Loved Book On Magic(k):
(Cough) Nocturnal Witchcraft by Konstantinos. What? It's interesting.

Best Loved Book on History:
Going to cheat, as this is a book about the history of science - E=MC^2 by David Bodanis, because he has such enthusiasm for his topic.

Most Right Wing Book I Have Ever Read:
Probably something I had to read for school and have now repressed.

Most Left Wing Book I Have Ever Read :
Can't thing of one, since I don't think Fight Club really counts as left wing.

Books I am Reading Right Now:
some true crime thing, 101 Poems that could Save Your Life, Watchmen for the 5th time, about to start Sons and Lovers by D.H. Lawrence
