yuletide authors are up! And I assume there was some pinch-hitting glitch as I got two stories. That or I'm just awesome. Don't Die which is Coupling, Jeff/Steve, and which I loved for having Jeff be the more insightful one for once, and Travel Documents, a post-book fic for I Capture the Castle which is gorgeous and doesn't go for the most obvious happy ending.
I wrote The Beggar's Wish. It's Tipping the Velvet, Nance/Florence, set after the end of the book, and I loved writing it because for a week I was doing nothing but rereading parts of the book over and over. I was originally planning on writing Nan/Kitty since the bit set during her music hall career always interested me the most but this time out I fell madly in love with Florence. Which was nice. (I did try watching the TV adaptation. I discovered I still hate it, though this time I did make it past episode one and got to see the famous dildo scene. I also had the fannish shock of my life when I thought Leela from Doctor Who was playing Diana Rigy, but it wasn't. I'm quite pleased, I would never have been able to watch Robots of Death in the same way again.)
