Though my internet connection's on the critical list. I hoped it was just my ethernet cable but I've tried it in the other wired-up rooms in the house and I'm being disconnected after 30 seconds or so in all of them. This laptop's out of warranty, too. Everyone else's connection is fine.

*sighs, makes note to check out wifi availibility and costing*

If I'm only around sporadically for a bit and not answering comments and such, that's why.

ETA: it's doubly frustrating as I'm trying to handle a porn emergency over on [livejournal.com profile] fandomhigh and I can only type with my left hand because I have to hold the ethernet cable in place with my right. *ded from teh irony*

ETA: just received my most pointless piece of feedback ever at ff.net - '?'

So very ironic.

This fills me with woe that my local library network currently has a moratorium on AV requests so I cannot immerse myself in Coupling. (I saw two episodes at a friend's house over the summer and luved.)

Coupling is brilliant. It goes downhill a bit when Jeff is replaced by a much less funny lookalike, but all four seasons are generally excellent. (I'm surprised there's no fic. Jeff/Steve would be a fairly small jump from canon, for one.)

I think I'd be far more interested in shallow girlsex, but that's just my personal bent (er, pun unintended) at the moment. (The girlsex part, that is. I heart brainyfic.)

Also: reading [livejournal.com profile] fandomhigh threatens to be my new crack.

I would kill for good Jane/Anya crossover slash. Jane gets thoroughly snogged by Susan in one episode and really gets into it but (like almost all the lesbianism/girl bisexuality on the show) it's just a show to turn the boys on.

Towards the end of season 3 Patrick does date an utterly gorgeous bi girl who fancies Sally.

Will keep your crossover wish in mind when I finally watch the full series -- though I tend to think I suck at writing Anya, and I suspect I would totally suck at writing any of the Coupling characters.

I? Love you forever. The 'lesbian' soliloquy remains one of my favourite bits of dialogue in the history of the universe ever, and you write him *fabulously*.

Oh god, Jane/Anya! That would be perfect...

I don't just love you for your way with words, but that's a large part of it. Yes, I know I don't know you and that's creepy, but still.
