(after "Are you the Bad Slayer now? *headtilt* Am I the GOOD Slayer now?!")

Dude, they're more similar than Spike REALIZES, 'cause usually the only people who NOTICE people's coloring are those who "have, like, a gay man's taste!" *snerksnerksnerk*

I'm not a slasher, per se, but I *do* think that Angel is THE male figure/father figure in Spike's life, and that's why Spike so very much hates him/looks up to him/wants to be like him/wants to be as unlike him as possible. (also think that Spike's weirdcoolweird snarky camaraderie/conflict relationship with Giles has to do with Giles being the other male/father figure in Spike's life, compounded, complicated, and made slightly incestuous by the fact that Giles is also Buffy's father substitute)

This is why I would give a gazillion dollars and possibly my womanly virtue to see Souled!Spike go over to "Angel" for the long-term or at least for a few episodes, because (SPOILERY invisotext for "Angel") after Angel loses/gives up Connor he will have the big heap o' "I'm a baaaaad faaaaaather because I gave up/lost my son, which I did because I'm a baaaaad faaaaaather!" Catholic guilt. And what better to play off that than the reintroduction of Angel's surly snarky pseudoson who Angel 'Did Wrong By' when he was a badass vampire and who's now got souled-guilt just like Daddy, providing Angel with both a constant reminder of his Bad!Father Failures and a constant opportunity for Fatherly Redemption? Sweeeeeeeeeeeet, man. *bounces*
