An odd Buffy question...

I'm looking at some Anya websites. What's with the "Emmerson" thing? We've been told at least twice onscreen that her name's Jenkins. Did she call herself Emmerson in The Wish or was it just a fanon thing?

marymac wants to know if I'm bored, since I'm posting so much. To her I say: yes. Yes, I am.

Anya's last name is listed as "Emerson" in the "Sunnydale High Yearbook." Which technically doesn't make it canon, exactly, but at least it explains why people have latched onto it. I've seen it spelled with one m and with two.

She did refer to herself as "Anya Christina Emanuella Jenkins" in the episode checkpoint (and then again in S7 during that little flashback scene to OMWF.)

How many names does Anya have at this point? Aud, Anyanka, Anya, Anya Emerson, Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins, Mrs. Anya Lame-Ass-Made-Up-Maiden-Name Harris (well, sorta)...
