I'm procrastinating on redrafting my [livejournal.com profile] 3_ships fic. It's done, it's over 500 words, and - I don't know, it's just not working for me. I'm shifting it from present to past tense and making the tone light rather than pretentious and pseudointellectual serious, and it seems to be helping. A bit.

In the mean time, fic meme. I'm just answering for fics I wrote this year (which is most of my total fic - I was surprised how much I'd done this year, given that there were about 5 months when I could barely string two words together).

1) my favourite story of my own – I actually love The Snow Queen. I mean, I can see where it needs redrafting (it's over 13,000 words and was written in a day and a half) but I just have a fondness for season 2 Cordy and Gunn having an adventure.

2) my best story – going to be boring and obvious and say A Girl Made From Sky.

3) most fun story – to write? It's a Jungle Out There and Lone and Level Sands, the first because I adore Snyder in all his pettiness (plus, killer plants, which along with zombies are one of my favourite fic things) and the second because I could happily write nothing but Illyria limited POV forever.

4) most sexy story – not a lot to choose from since I am a boring PG-13 writing person, so Nice Girls.

5) story with single sexiest moment – oh, fuck knows, I suck at smut. The last bit of Five Traits of Lycanthropy, possibly.

6) Most unintentionally TELLING story – Wings Across the Cancelled Skies, for the sheer number of times in a 1500 word fic where I managed to bollocks up the physics. You could probably construct a list of my fic tropes just from Howl. Decor is about as Mary Sue as I could get (unless I explored Fred's university exploits as a grad student in the Physics department)

7) “Holy crap, that’s WRONG, even for you” fic – I'm boring, I have nothing for this. Except the Angel/Snyder high school AU that was luckily just in comments and therefore lost forever.

8) Story that shifted my perception of the characters – See How They Run let me create my fanon!Eve, and then I didn't even have one character I could hate anymore. Grr.

8) Hardest story to write – Tie That Sucker Down. It was for a crossover ficathon, it's Faith/Sark, I've seen maybe two episodes of Alias with him in...

9) Easiest story to write – It's a Pretty Good Life. Cordelia, Doyle, AU, mindless optimism.

10) Story I didn’t write but will, I swear - too many to list. The Slayer ficathon entry, because my Roman Republic Slayer and her Watcher have been living in my brain since the summer and I can't do them justice without more research. Dawn as a linguist in Brazil (possibly with Ethan). Potential Slayers on the Discworld (since they have vampires, and there's that Stanley the Vampire Slayer joke in Going Postal)
