(A quick fic question: the thick paper kids use to make things in school, is that called construction paper in the US?) Answered, thanks [livejournal.com profile] mireille719!

I don't remember ever having thick paper in school, by any name. Huh. You don't mean corrugated cardboard, I suppose? No, you probably don't. And sugar paper's too thin, though it was thicker than normal paper.

It's the sort of thick, rough paper you used in art class in primary school - or I did, anyway...

Thanks so much- I'm loving the variety of pairings. Since you're the go to girl for any and all Jossverse pairings, I wondered if you could do me a favor (if you don't want to, or don't have the time, no big deal). My friend (who is pretty conventional when it comes to ships) actually picked up a vibe between Faith and Willow and expressed an interest in reading femslash. I'm so proud of her, but I have no clue where to look to give her recs. Do you have any ideas?

Excellent! More people reading femslash = more people writing femslash = a happier me. I haven't read a lot of Faith/Willow myself, the only ones I can think of off the top of my head are:

Conversations With Murderers (http://www.mysticmuse.net/authors/loki/conversationswithmurders.htm) by Loki
Displacement (http://archive.shriftweb.org/archive/26/displacement.html) by Fayjay
No Satisfaction (http://archive.shriftweb.org/archive/20/nosatisfaction.html) by [livejournal.com profile] jennyo
Zigzag Girls (http://squared.faithfanfiction.net/scynneh_zigzag.php) by Scynneh

And a self-pimp: All the King's Horses (http://nearheralways.com/efiction/viewstory.php?sid=2854) by me. It's an early fic so could used revised, but eh.

I loved Root Systems and Scarborough Fair. It was one of the times when my offline friends were afflicted with "oooh, cool thing I just read! [plot described in squeeing detail]"

::blushes happily::

::apologises to your mates for the slightly dark and depressing nature of the story;)

Thanks:) It's really put a smile on my face that they were loved - especially given the pairing's image problems.

What a great list of recs! I'll have my work cut out for me, reading the ones that are new to me. And I'm pleased to be in such excellent company. Thank you.

I would note-- probably too far after the fact to change anything, not that it's ever stopped me before-- that "The Power and the Other Thing" is at least as much Willow/Tara as Willow/Glory.
