Trying to get on top of my ficathons: posted the Darkficathon today. My Oz/Xander, Dana, C/A and Spara entries are partially done. Really need to finish some of them tomorrow. Got bunnies for Harmony and the fluffathon. No earthly clue what to do for Faith.

Oh, cool new community - [livejournal.com profile] fray_adjacent for Buffy and Angel fanfic quotes. I love quotes, and this is a great idea.

And a meme, stolen from everyone:

Who do you picture when you read my LJ? Who's face do you associate with my words? I know I've posted self pics, but I've seen pics of other people on my flist and still tend to associate other, more famous, faces with them.

So who is it? Go on. I'm curious.

I tend to associate you with the faces of Darla and Connor, due to your icons. These are pretty people to be associated with. :)

Now I'm curious what face if any you associate me with!

Mary Jane and/or Gwen Stacy, actually *g*

LOL!!! Really? MJ I can see, but Gwen? Heee! On the MJ front, I am a brunette slowly but steadily steering my hairdye regimen as closely as possible to pure redhead. ;)

*g* I'm a nut for the original comics. I adored Gwen. (Although [livejournal.com profile] connorbeast and I are compelled to use the line 'face it, Tiger, you hit the jackpot' on each other at least once a month)

Yay! I'm so glad you linked to that community! Looks like tons of fun.

Who do I associate you with? Hmmmm... the mental picture is of someone dark-haired, young-ish, accented. But now when I think of characters-wise, I can only come up with Gwen from AtS. Who, honestly, isn't a bad person to be equated with. ;-)

*g* 21, dark-haired, impenetrable mid-Ulster-Scots accent, yep.

I will know I have met my future husband when Potential Guy lets me use the "face it, tiger" line on him. ^_~

MJ is my comic book girlfriend, but Gwen is awesome. The original "Death of Gwen Stacy" arc is amazing; I bought it in tradeback a few years ago and I actually cried the first time I read it. I can get pretty tired of the MJ-bashing in favor of Gwen that I sometimes see, though--painting MJ as a stupid whiny tramp and Gwen as a pure and virtuous angel doesn't do justice to either character. Oh, have you seen "Ultimate Spider-Man"? Gwen's in it as, like, snarky leather-wearing badass Gwen. Purrrr. I live in terror that the comics' writers will decide to be funny-ironic and kill her off (or REALLY funny-ironic and kill off MJ *g*).

I use this icon because she's a character from Spider-Man who's adorable and very fond of Peter, and when I thought I heard another character call her "Gwen" (I'm pretty sure now that they didn't and she isn't, though), I nearly had a heart attack from squeeeing. (I could swear I heard somebody call somebody "Gwen", though...must pay closer attention when I see it again on Saturday.)

Er, that should say "character from Spider-Man 2". *facepalm*

Ultimate Spider-Man is kickass. I've got the first 5 trade paperbacks, will have to read the rest of it.

I have the first 6 tradebacks and then started subscribing monthly after the Venom arc, 'cause I'm a big ole dorky Venom fangirl. *G* [livejournal.com profile] rabican and I have been posting scans from Ultimate Spidey among other things on [livejournal.com profile] scans_daily, which is cool community all 'round anyway.

Since I haven't known you for long at all and haven't seen a picture, I associate you with your Illyria icon. Dark hair, maybe not blue skin.. ^_^, but paler, but, even though I know you do not have an American accent, that's what I picture your voice as.

Amy Acker as Fred Burkle, with a Belfast accent (which, being based in my head on my Dubliner roommate's impression of certain Northern Ireland politicians, is probably not quite the right accent anyway.)

Oddly, even though I know you IRL, I always associate your LJ posts with Illyria.
I wonder why?

*g* Oddly enough I always associate [livejournal.com profile] connorbeast's posts with Vincent Kartheiser...

Ah, not impenetrable. Admittedly not to one with a Hiberno-English-cum-mild-Ulster-Scots accent, anyway. :-D
