- I'd forgotten how much I loved season 2.

- the B/A scene in his apartment in Ted: love it. Love love love. Coupled with the 'I like seeing you at bedtime' in Surprise, it sent me scuttling away to find PWPs.

- Lyle and Tector Gorch in Bad Eggs: are they meant to be the characters from the movie The Wild Bunch or are the names just an homage?

- I like Kendra. She has nice chemistry with both Buffy and Giles. Ooh, and Xander. There should be more fic about her, despite the terrible accent.

- And Willy! He's terrific. More Willy fic.

- I want to marry Oz. Just... with the genius but the slacking and the lifetime ambition to play E-flat dimished ninth and the telling Willow she has the sweetest smile in the middle of talking about animal crackers...

- love the Cordelia/Xander. I'll refrain from going on at length how much their arguments were like the S/A bickering of Angel season 5.

- on a related note, Spike calling Angel 'baby' in WML made me fall off my chair in happiness.

Also, last night I dreamed I was reading the sixth Harry Potter. I was a bit surprised when Harry and Ron and Draco died, but much more so when Hermione was, in a shock twist, revealed to be a killer robot. Dream-me thought "but... but... with the main three characters dead the last book will have to be about Lupin! Hang on a second. YAY!"

Oh, *god* I know! They're by far my most favorite canon-couple in a world where I'm forced to admit that even if Wes/Connor is canon, they're not a *couple*. Heeeee. But the blue-black hair and the pale skinny arms and the hat that Willow's wearing and their easy, flowing, winding conversation. Oh....*loves on them hard*

love the Cordelia/Xander. I'll refrain from going on at length how much their arguments were like the S/A bickering of Angel season 5.

Wish you wouldn't. Refrain, that is. Go on, go on!

Willow's hat - if it's the one with the big brim, I have that hat! I saw it and proclaimed that she had my hat.

I love Willow/Oz. I love the "your hair is brown!" "Sometimes" exchange and I must find an AU where they both went to work for the CIA.

Lyle and Tector Gorch in Bad Eggs: are they meant to be the characters from the movie The Wild Bunch or are the names just an homage?

Well, the destruction of the village before their turning points to them being the Wild Bunch cowboys, but the actors used look nothing like Warren Oates and Ben Johnson.

I like Kendra. She has nice chemistry with both Buffy and Giles. Ooh, and Xander. There should be more fic about her, despite the terrible accent. <.i>

Word. I've tried, though. I can't do it.

I want to marry Oz. Just... with the genius but the slacking and the lifetime ambition to play E-flat dimished ninth and the telling Willow she has the sweetest smile in the middle of talking about animal crackers...

When you marry him, remind him that fretting up should make the reaches easier.

love the Cordelia/Xander. I'll refrain from going on at length how much their arguments were like the S/A bickering of Angel season 5.

That's fine. Just be reminded that Xander+Cordelia-love=Tony+Jessica.

OhILoveThemSoMuch. There are a bunch of moments between the two of them that just...guh. Those smoothly-quiet Oz moments that you site above, combined with the harsher moments - the one where he tells Willow that he's said all he has to say and she just wants to hear more to make her feel better...*heartbreaks*

They came across as so *true* to me, sweet and complex and sometimes hopeless and always interesting.

Happysigh.

And heeeeeeeee! CIA Oz/Willow. Dude, your Oz voice is so phenomenal. *You* should write that story!

Cordy/Xander! I must admit that this is my favorite pairing for either of them.

*loves them*

And! And! Spike/Dru!

s2 was the time for canon het couples that I loved.

Hee! It's odd (and much appreciated) that you say that since Oz is one of two characters (the other's Lilah) who I don't think I can write at all. ust can't get a handle on either of them.

Tony+Jessica: Jessica, what's her name, Simpson, I assume? And husband? yeah, I saw about five seconds of their show and it was about four and three-quarter seconds too long.

I am SO there with you about season two! That was also when Giles was his cutest and most adorable. *pets him when he first sees Jenny again after the summer in WSWB*

Yay indeed! I'd be behind that entirely!!!! *grin* Shy werewolves are the absolute best characters.

Just thought I'd post (again) to let you- and all the equally fic-obsessed people on your friends page- know that the community [livejournal.com profile] finishing_angel is up and I'm really hoping other people will join and post. I desire post-series-finale Angel fics! I defy anyone to say they don't as well, (hehe). Also my own Wes/Connor sequel madness can be found there. Much love!

I want to marry Oz.

I love him too. He had this wonderful calmness about him. And the cute, and the genius. :) I wish he could've stuck around after the breakup; I wouldn't want to give up Willow/Tara as a canon couple, but I wish there'd been more Oz.

Come to think of it...did any of the main characters ever have an ex who didn't either leave town or die? Right now, I can't think of one. Those poor, messed-up kids.

I like Kendra.

She is so the most unappreciated minor character. The Forgotten Slayer.

love the Cordelia/Xander. I'll refrain from going on at length how much their arguments were like the S/A bickering of Angel season 5.

Aw, don't refrain! Go on at length! It'll be fun, and lots of us will reply and validate you, I promise. :)

When he's got him tied up, right after Angel tries to goad him into killing him - Spike says something like "trying to throw yourself to the lions? Well, the lions are on to you, baby." He says "it'll all be over soon, baby" in the church and I *think* he's talking to Angel - since Dru doesn't seem to be in pain - but that's not clear.

I am an obsessive Spangel fangirl *g*

I should check my comments before I reply to people *g* But yeah, theirloveissocanon. Not to mention the "What's a sire?" line in School Hard that gets more play in What's My Line - Xander's reaction to learning that Angel sired Dru is "man. That guy did a lot of neck in his day." I mean... that has to be an implication he was shagging Dru and Spike. In my world

I watched the last 4 episodes with a group, some of them online-fandom folks, most of them unaware of fanfic or slash - the reaction of *everybody* to "me and Angel have never been intimate. Except for that that..." was "uh, yeah. That one period between 1880 and 1898." Canon!

on 2004-06-10 06:07 am (UTC)
Posted by [identity profile] chicken-cem.livejournal.com
Don't some people say he was intimate with Angel only once, but with Angelus many, many times?

on 2004-06-10 06:10 am (UTC)
Posted by [identity profile] doyle_sb4.livejournal.com
Yup. That's my favoured explanation. I choose to believe the one time with Angel was... hmm. Probably five minutes after the fade to black in The Girl in Question. Or, ooh, right after Shells.
