I only have 500 words of my ABoD fic done - got it plotted but my main character is giving me problems, since I'm either redeeming him too much or not enough, and also it seems to want to turn into a pastiche of Casablanca with the Beast as the Nazis... ah well, I'll finish it after the Eurovision voting, since that's always the best bit. (This is what European countries when they can't have wars with each other. There are countries which *always* give each other 12 points regardless of the song, and others that refuse to give each other a single point, and Terry Wogan happily takes the piss out of the whole thing for the BBC, and it's all good.)

I'm at the same stage for my ABoD fic as well. If I do get it finished by tomorrow it is going to be the longest fic I've signed up for so far. And I think until I do get more practise it just might stay the longest as I am really stressing out about this.

I think it wouldn't have been so bad if I'd received my assignment when you received yours and then I would've had more time to think about the story. I didn't think I was going to be given an assignment and signed up for other ficathons which are also due this week. So when I did get this a fortnight ago, forget stressing, I was freaking out.

Just remember to *breathe* Dawn. That's the secret.

It sounds like we are on the same wavelength with our stories...although mine I think is more similar to the Maltese Falcon if anything.

I didn't know you're in Europe? We just watched the final ten minutes of the show, I had no idea it was on. And hey, Germany didn't finish last this time (don't even know what our song this year was).

It was all so cute... the mods, the winning song... and, oh, the little hearts everywhere :). I'm kinda sorry I missed it. I loved the one show where Guildo Horn represented Germany with this totally nutty song.
