There is simply so much that is wonderful about this story that I can't begin to list it all -- the feedback would end up being as long as the story itself.
Your character voices were spot on. So very impressed with your Illyria. I can hear Amy Acker saying those lines. I loved the Green and the Grey comment, and Illyria's reaction to it -- it's a perfect Joss-like intersection, there.
The pervasive sadness of this is just... weighty. The grief is real, and undeniable. Your line about Xander being willing to trade both his eyes for Anya made me tear up.
Loved Xander's pain at not being told -- how far out of things he is. His paranoid reaction to not knowing things is a shadow of what it would have been once, and replaced with a more genuine pain. His reaction to not knowing about Cordy was really well done.
See? I could go on for pages. But to end on a light(er) note... Jesse telling Mrs. Stevens she had an ass the size of Minsk! Hee!
