doyleRewatching Passion as research for my B/A ficathon assignment (should really be doing the crossover one but it makes me cry...)
Buffy, to Giles: It's easy for you to say. You don't have Angel lurking in your bedroom every night.
:mind goes to inappropriate Giles/Angelus places:
ETA: dear Lord, Willow's wearing a horrible jumper. Cute plaits, though.
(five minutes later) Dammit, Jenny Calendar, I don't need to fall for another character at this stage! Let alone in the episode where you die!
Joyce was so having a secret affair with Angel.
Aww, Willow's jammies! And her poor fish...
This could very easily turn into a Buffy/Willow scenario.
Dru with Sunshine the puppy! I'd completely forgotten how much I loved Spike/Dru.
:the Angelus/Spike tension breaks my slashometer:
I like that magic shop better than the Magic Box. And the shop guy's funny. Too bad he has that big "Kill Me" sign on his head.
Xander's trousers! I take back what I said about Willow's fashion sense.
The drawing of Joyce! Secret affair! Oh, they were.
Angel's hair is sticking up all over, not just at the front.
Nice parallel with Buffy slamming the door on Angel and the last scene in Crush.
That shot of Angelus in the shadows at the back of the classroom is great.
As is the shot of him killing her in front of the window.
And after the slaughter, the funny - I love Willow thinking that as Giles is a librarian he doesn't know about S-E-X. That's crying out for some S2 dirtywrongunderage W/G.
Joyce's voice sounds odd.
Wait a second, when was Angel invited into Giles's apartment? (And how did Xander know where he lived in Prophecy Girl? And was there anybody in Sunnydale he wasn't doing?)
Giles finding the body - ouch. Ouch, ouch, ouch. Brilliantly filmed and acted.
Xander knows an awful lot about Giles's weapons.

People get headstones really *really* fast in Sunnydale. Quite surprised she wasn't taken home to be buried (I take it she was the last of her tribe/family, then?)
Aha, that last line ("Angel's gone. Nothing's ever going to bring him back.") fits perfectly with what I want to write about.
On to Killed by Death
Ooh, Buffy hallucinating on the hospital gurney and having to be sedated is very Normal Again. (Also, ha! Proof that the mental institution back story is a false memory. Joyce doesn't even flicker at Buffy talking about vampires. If she'd already spent weeks in an institution two years before with the same 'delusions' wouldn't Joyce have gone nuts over this?) (Yes, I overthink things)
Stop moving your hands so fast, woman! I need to see if one of those dozens of rings is the Claddagh ring! [/anal retentive attention to detail]

By the way, anybody who's not following Crystalwank/One Wank to Rule Them All on F_W... actually, if you're not following it now you probably don't have a chance to catching up. But it's made me physically cry with laughter more than once today. And got me metaquoted on journalfen, whee!

Of course, it makes sense that Giles of all people would do an un-inviting after the events of s2, but that's the only other time I can remember Angel visiting the apartment except for "Pangs."
Buffy needs a Nitpicker's Guide, like Star Trek: The Next Generation had.
