You know what's fun? Waking up and finding that your computer's deleted absolutely everything on it. Except the spyware that you've been trying to get rid of, since it's apparently like a cockroach and will survive anything short of an atom bomb.

No, wait, that's not fun. (I'm only sanguine because at least it was my dad's PC, meaning I've just lost a ton of old files and a couple of links for the buffyverse1000 update. If it was the laptop - eep, now I'm paranoid.)

Anyway. Almost Christmas, I'm decking the halls, and I get to write fic all day and pretend I don't have an exam at the end of January and a Master's thesis due in February.

: play The Sims 2. Wonder why it's her female Sim who has to stay home when the baby's born even though she's due a promotion and earns twice as much as her husband. :

: receive email notification of Medical Physics marks. Have done better than expected in presentation and worse than expected on essay. Grump over f-list. :

My yuletide story's over 1000 words, and another 300 should finish it. I don't think it's giving a whole lot away to say that it's a British fandom, and it's *so* good to be able to write something where I actually know where (for instance) a certain character would shop, or what kind of cigarettes they'd smoke.
